Seven years after closing for the extensive renovation work, MUDE has finally reopened its doors to the public on July 25th. We are thrilled to have been part of this remarkable project in collaboration with our client and general developer Teixeira Duarte – Engenharia e Construções.
After the renovation, the total exhibition area will be 14,000m2, was fully installed with our fire-resistance doors – COMPLAN and ES Series, and the multipurpose doors ASN and ISN Series. For smoke control, natural ventilation, and daylight, we installed our smoke vents VENTRA and VENTRA-F for the façade. Our work didn’t stop there; we also supplied the automatic fire curtains model BACHFIRE, and the smoke curtains BACHSMOKE DA and BACHSMOKE EV.
Dedicated to all expressions of design, MUDE features pieces from the mid-1800s to the present and it is considered one of the largest and best design museums in Europe and the only museum of its kind in Portugal.
