TRIA got the european technical evalutaion, ETA-18/1087, for it’s Biofire product
TRIA, a leading company in the development, manufacture, installation and maintenance of systems for passive fire protection in buildings, has obtained the European Technical Assessment, ETA-18/1087, for its BIOFIRE product.
BIOFIRE, TRIA’s registered trademark, is an innovative mortar based product for protection against fire in metal structures, concrete structures and walls, cooperative mixed slabs, solid slabs, lightweight slabs, wooden beams and ventilation ducts. It’s manufactured with light aggregates of vermiculite, expanded perlite and binders included in the dry blend which give stability to the product when applied.
ETA is a European document which covers the technical evaluation of the valences of construction products not covered or only partly covered by a harmonised technical specification (harmonised European standard), with a focus on innovative products such as ETA – 18/1087 for Biofire prepared by ITeC.
In accordance with the European Regulation on Construction Products (RPC) Regulation (EU) No 305/2011, the ETA is issued by qualified European Technical Assessment Bodies (TABs) designated by the Member States. product ranges and communicated to the European Commission.
The European Technical Assessments are issued on the basis of European Assessment Documents (EADs), which are prepared within the framework of the European Technical Assessment Organization (EOTA) and cited in the OJEU after approval by the European Commission, as harmonised European standards.
The achievement of this ETA is the validation of all the announced performance values for the Biofire product, which makes it a unique product in the national market and projects it to international markets where TRIA already operates, as well as to new markets.
