TRIA develops new models of PLANO series doors for Herzog & de Meuron

PLANO series was chosen by the swiss architecture office Herzog & de Meuron to be included in AstraZeneca’s new global headquarters of R&D and Corporate Center.

Since this was a project with rigorous design predicates, it was necessary to develop some design changes to the original models of this series, namely the type of attachment of the frame to the wall.
The required method, called face fixing, allows the door to be placed inside one of the compartments, hiding the entire frame on the other side.
This change, alongside with the need to test large vision panels, a requirement of the project, promoted performing new tests on PLANO series, regarding fire resistance and acoustic attenuation, in single and double leaf version.

These tests were carried out throughout the year 2018, giving rise to four new references of the series PLANO:

PL1.FX (V) | Face fixing system, opening to the outside of the wall opening, with possibility of including large vision panel, single leaf version.

PL1.F(V) / PL2.F | Face fixing system, opening for the interior of wall, with possibility of including large vision panels, single and double leaf version.

PL1.FC | Face fixing system, using reinforced angles, opening to the interior of the wall opening, single leaf version.

The new models present themselves as an exclusive product in the market, giving this series even more arguments for its prominent place in the available offer of fire and acoustic doors. The tests, carried out according to European standards, also ensure that these models comply with the highest standards of fire resistance and acoustic performance.
